Secrets, Lies, and Sneaky Spies (2023)

“And should you die, take pride that you were fortunate enough to die for the Division.”

With that cheery bit of encouragement, American Level Four Division agent Katrina Foster is tossed on a plane and sent on her first mission…in Sweden. Her directive: uncover who killed the country’s top agent. When she links the murder to a decade-old political assassination, a murderous mastermind, and a shadowy organization set on global disruption, Katrina becomes a target.

As the mission heats up, so does her attraction to a certain handsome Swedish agent. He reveals a surprise connection to her past that might end up jeopardizing her future.

When you’re a spy, it’s hard to know who to trust and everyone around her seems to have suspicious motives. Katrina will have to rely on her wits, her training, and an array of fantastic disguises if she wants to live to spy another day.

Secrets, Lies, and Sneaky Spies is a chick-lit mystery romp with a blend of humor, thrills, and sleuthwork that would appeal to those who enjoy Janet Evanovich’s Stephanie Plum series and Ally Carter's The Blonde Identity. It was inspired by the real-life assassination of Swedish politician Anna Lindh.

A light blue cover with a 007-like swirl in the background. Black female in a black jumpsuit stands holding a gun with a stern expression like she's ready to kick butt. A shadowed male figure with a gun crouches near her. Book is titled Secrets, Lies, and Sneaky Spies.

After surviving her first mission, Katrina is back...and so is trouble. Her next mission takes her Vancouver, Canada, where she's been tasked to keep an eye on an international sporting competition. While everyone is excited to watch the athletes perform, Katrina knows something sinister is afoot (feet, oddly enough, are going to be the key to her assignment). Her mission is further complicated when a figure from her past reappears. When disaster strikes, will they have Katrina's back...or will she end up with a knife in hers?

About the series

Katrina Foster is a new Level Four agent of an international spy agency. In each of her four books she runs missions for the agency while trying to solve the ultimate mystery: the truth about the day her spy parents died.

Katrina's best friend and fellow agent, Isobel Figueroa will have her own mission, and in his origin-story novella, you'll learn the backstory on the mysterious not-quite-a-spy, not-quite-a-chauffeur, Jens (just Jens, like Cher).
